Um, by the way ~ Can I just say thank you to you? Yes, thank you for caring. Sometimes when I write on my blog I think, "These are precious things I'm learning. I hope they're helping at least someone other than myself." And then I think, "Well, if nothing else, I know Em reads 'em." I love you for being such a true and dedicated friend. You're a special one I tell ya! xoxoMissyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14691033606624008769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2644029251496222777.post-87539139444128064402009-03-26T22:23:00.000-07:002009-03-26T22:23:00.000-07:00I too am feeling your pain on sewing. I am the youngest of 3 girls, never had home ec in school and by the time they got to me, they were done my parents were done and thought my older sisters should show me. It never happened. Needless to say, I am ready to learn too. I even bought myself a new sewing machine in the fall and am bound and determined to learn. I bought material last year to make Seth a "Cars" blanket for his room. Maybe we can convince someone in Enrichment to start a "very beginners" course of sewing.....hmmmm....do you know anyone that might be able to pull some strings. She said you stick it to the shirt and then to the patch, pull off the backing, stick together, and voile, you have a patch. She said they stay put like forever. You should look into that because he is the scout master and all. My brother was the scout master, he never did buy a shirt. He was also never a scout. You will be VERY sorry later on down the road.

When I bought my sewing machine, they gave basic lessons, but honestly, they weren't that helpful. The best way to learn is to jump in and start a project. Quilting (in my opinion) is much easier than sewing - it's straight lines!! Start there.

If you can wait, I'll help you with them while I am there.Staciehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17293886040893929167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2644029251496222777.post-3699929081141271182009-03-26T11:19:00.000-07:002009-03-26T11:19:00.000-07:00HA! I keep saying that I have to find some cute material first, but the truth is I am terrified. I don't sew. If you hear about any sewing classes, let me know, because I need to get in on them as well. Oh, and good luck, you can do it. You are Super Woman, remember? The red lipstick will never let you down.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15064824229039891726noreply@blogger.com
