he wasn't in his diaper any longer than usual.
in fact, he had a fresh one sooner than usual.
apparently, he needed a new diaper.
earlier than usual.
haven't decided if i'm glad that he was sitting next to me or i would have rather had him sitting on me.
tough call.

you are my sunshine
my only sunshine,
you make me happy,
when skies are gray,
you'll never know dears,
how i much i love you,
please don't take my
sunshines
away.
brennan had pushed max over one too many times.
the tv was broken.
my computer was still broken.
my phone was broken.
sean wasn't supposed to be home until after 8pm.
at 7:05pm, less than an hour felt like a lifetime.
i literally had to talk to myself out loud, telling myself not to yell at my kids.
definitely not my best hour.
but we made it.
and by some small miracle i didn't yell.
did you know that if you smile really big.
REALLY BIG.
while you're talking to your kids when you're frustrated,
it's actually kind of funny,
and relieves some of the stress?
well, it does.
i laughed at myself in crazy town.
'cause that's where i was.
fed and dressed the babies in jammies.
put one baby in bed.
the littlest one.
and then read a book to the pork loin.
sean came through the door at 8:01pm.
i blinked.
a long one.
we were reading "the giving tree."
boy mama, boy!
brennan always finds the boy in the pictures.
i sighed in relief.
i felt that huge sense of accomplishment.
the kind you feel when the day felt like it was never going to end.
but then it does.
and i wonder why it was so hard.
b/c it's really never that bad.
it's always pretty good.

potted plant...UN.
after i had brennan, sean's mom advised me to put all of my plants up.
it's a good thing i listened.
note: all flowers were put back in their designated spots.

like pumpkin spice
i love my hair in this picture.
it was super windy.
we spent the day in the aspens of park city today.mama C had one last day from aloha and wanted to see the fall.
the canyon was full of oranges, reds, yellows, and greens.
it really put me in the mood for fall.
we stuffed ourselves at stein's.
the pork loin watched a movie.
and max smiled ear to ear.
we came home and both babies refused to nap.
it was a let down.
i didn't make dinner.
no one starved.
i packed some boxes.
and the kids went to bed at 8:17pm.
for the first time since spring.
GLORY BE.
the news is on.
if you didn't know, ksl weathermen are very educational.
last year i learned about why the leaves change colors from them.
the cold air comes, the tree pulls its moisture into the trunk, leaves lose moisture, dry up, change colors, fall off.
tonight i learned about increased winds in the center of a fire.
a firestorm.
oxygen and air going to fill in the space that the fire is eating the oxygen from.
creating increased winds.
evil little trick the fire pulls.
all from the ksl weathermen.
my house is quiet.
and it smells like pumpkin spice.
i am at peace.
a great place to be.
now, more boxes...
