i followed the directions on the box the first time i made brennan's.

it was milk soup.

wouldn't even stay on the spoon.

we set up the video camera on the tri-pod for him.

we still got both cameras out for max.

she ate 3 or 4 spoonfuls, with most of it ending up on the bib.

actually, i forgot to put a bib on at first.

no onesie's were harmed in the making of this picture.

but her freshly bathed neck was caked.

good thing you can just wipe off skin and it's clean again.

i have two bug bites on my right thumb knuckle.

it has me wondering if a spider was in my bed last night.

either that or dr. scout master has some explaining to do...

i had a dream last night that someone stole both of our cars and our carseats.
except sean's car was a classic mustang, not a red chevy cavalier with no air conditioning.
i'm glad i woke up and found everything in its designated place.

fall's a ball in june

multi-billionaire jackpot

against my better judgement, i bought one box of each while waiting in the checkout line at walmart.
a "sus" for the pork loin's american holiday.
he's going to either love it or be completely terrified.
now it's the 2nd star to the left and straight on until the 4th of july.
or something.
if tired is my only complaint of motherhood,
then i've really scored the jackpot.
today, i was a multi-billionaire in the jackpot.
note to self:
wear sunscreen even if you plan on staying in the shade.

pudding vs. yogurt

he wanted pudding for breakfast.
of course i said no.
until i looked at the labels.
and realized that the pudding may actually be healthier.
well, less sugar at least.
so he's eating pudding for breakfast.
and crying that he can't have both pudding AND yogurt.
the man picked.
tomorrow's pickings should be interesting.
it doesn't seem like either option is really that great.
but for some reason i feel better giving him the yogurt...

6:15pm

i love the way the sun hits my house at 6:15pm in the summer.
the days are hotter than i like,
but the nights,
i can't get enough.

figures i would get sick on dr. scout master's first day of work.
only snapped at him once.
it was sad.
i was grumpy.
cousins dropped off dinner.
i went to bed at 7pm after feeding the baby.
woke up to snap at the doc and then again to feed max sometime in the a.m. hours.
she grabbed her toes for the first time yesterday.
4 mo. old.
now i'm just weak.
and feeling badly about snapping.
but feeling really special about the flower brennan brought me to make me feel better.
melted my heart.
let's hope i'm the last one to see this sickness.
staying home sick is just not as cool when you're all grown up as it was when i was in elementary school.
ugh.

ligh-ne, ligh-ne, boooooooom!

have you ever had wind come cold from one direction, followed by a blanket of heat from another.
amazing.
and spooky.
the sky was orange with lime juice.
or something creative like that.
like a tornado was just around the corner.
saw 4 rainbows all in a row.
submitted the first two to the news.
i hope they pick mine.

the clouds literally ate the rainbow in one huge gulp.
