spanish speaking hottie

dear sean a.k.a. "spanish speaking hottie,"
i love listening to you speak spanish. it's dang hot. like walk on top of hot coals kind of hot. i love seeing you speak to president and hermana alonso. it's so cute. i love that you served a faithful mission. the fact that it was in TJ is a cherry on top. what were the chances? i love that other elders from your mission talk about you...in good ways;-)...like some kind of legacy. did i mention i think you're aMAZing? well, i do. i fall more and more in love with you every day. AND would you look at our son? he's just exhausted. even after a 3 1/2 hr nap (thank you "napping gods"). he was still toasted by the end of the night, but to see hermana alonso gush brennan's cheeks made it all worth it. to hear president speak...and sweet hermana just makes you feel warm inside. to feel so good that i can't believe i didn't have a stronger testimony before hearing them speak b/c they just make you want to be THAT much better. i'm amazed every time. when i look over, i see you with light in your eyes, and i think, "no way, how did i score him?" you made dreams come true that i didn't even know i had. i love you.

That has to be one of the sweetest things I've read. Surely your husband will treasure it.

And, yes. I am jealous that Hermana got to gush the cheeks, and I have yet to do so...or even meet the boy for that matter. And I'm the one always talking about the gushing of his cheeks! Oh well, at least someone got to. I'll try not to be bitter.

Awww. That's cute. And it's always cool to see your husband in action doing those "out of the ordinary" things that have made him the person he is.

You'll find this is equally true with your children, when they are grown. When my son walks up to somebody and starts conversing in Tagalog, it shows me a side of him I've never seen before. Or once I got to be in a group setting with my son, who is a therapist, and see what a great clinician he is. And listening to my daughter give a lesson would be cool. (She just started as a YW leader.) I should make that happen soon. My youngest son had to give a big research presentation to the oncology department at his school. That would've been neat to see. (Sorry for the long list, but I don't like to mention one of my kids in this kind of vein without mentioning all of them.) It's a little rule I have, lol.

I love seeing my husband doing *his* thing. There's just something so manly about it. Though he doesn't get to speak Japanese often, I love to hear him when he does. It reminds me that he served a mission--and that is *hot*!
