hazy & hot

my thoughts concerning july.
YOU

ARE
TOO
DANG HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
really, he picked up a piece, took one bite, and put it back.
we stopped counting after 4 fruit were massacred.
'atta boy.
you're on your way to the chocolate box like mama some day.
one bite out of each one.
put it back for dad to finish later;-)
p.s.
thank you jorjia for the plastic bowl to soak my feet in.
it felt really good.
i've never loved icy cold hose water in my life as much as i did today.
the pork loin thanks you for turning on the spraying hose.
thank you scout master for refilling my foot bowl for round two.
my insides were cooking.
and thanks for making us dinner.
it was lovely.
tastely lovely. (excuse my new phrase)

pb & sugar OR green eggs & ham

you'll either love it or hate it,
but it's kind of like green eggs and ham.
just try it!
you might like it!
HOW TO:
slice of bread.
peanut butter atop.
sprinkle layer of sugar to your liking.
glass of milk nearby.
vwallah.
i learned it from ms. stacie hansen.
my 1st grade bestie.
such a glorious after school snack.
or during "super market sweep" or "price is right" when we were off track.
one of the two.
i also used to sneak 2 or 3 creamies from the garage freezer in the hopes that mama hansen wouldn't notice.
there were lots of kids!
how could they narrow the thieving down to just me!?;-)
don't worry, i've since confessed, and mama hansen still loves me just the same.
oh, those were the days.
i believe we also used to watch lamb chop's play land.
"this is the song that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends, some people started singing it not knowing what it was, and then they started singing it forever just because, this is the song that never ends..."
you get the idea.
my apologies for those that actually know the tune.
it's gonna be a LONG night for you.
all of this has made me very hungry...

scrubs

he wears scrubs
AND
changes diapers.
i know.
heavenly.

a mud bath

it always starts off very innocently.
playing in the puddles.
the mud castles the big kids create.
the really great ones, with tunnels and arches.
then comes the splashing.
soon after, the inching.
and at some point, the mud castle becomes confused with a baby pool.
all in a hard day's work.
but this time, it was EXTRA muddy.
extra mud bath-y.
the scout master had to hose him off.
have you ever been hosed off with hose water?
granted it was hot.
really hot.
but still...
his clothes are still hanging outside on our railing.
coated in mud.
it was a great day.
especially if you're a little loin.

the story of sushi and white pants

the story of sushi and white pants.
met tiff for sushi.
dang good sushi.
wore white pants.
going to baby shower after, minus my own baby.
so excited to wear white pants.
no baby to stain them.
mouth salivating for Caterpillar roll.
picked up roll with chop sticks.
love chop sticks.
dipped roll into soy sauce/wassabe mixture just in front of me.
went for a 2nd dip for added enjoyment.
and...
SPLASH went the roll.
SPLASH went the soy.
SPLASH on my pants.

let's just say i had to go home and change before the shower.
left the pants for about 9 hours sitting in hamper without any spot treatment.
finally around 9pm remembered white pants stained with soy.
grabbed oxi clean spray.
doused pants.
threw in wash with oxi clean powder in basin.
whitest white and warm/warm setting.
i give you....
WHITE PANTS AGAIN!!!!
thank you oxi clean.
thank you.
...
other mentionables...
no, the pork loin does not have the chicken pox.
they vaccinate kids for that now.
who knew?
not sure if i ever had them.
my mother assures me she thinks i had a mild case.
let's hope:-)
so back to the chicken pox on his face...
errrr, raspberry jam impersonating chicken pox rather.
