most of the trees still have their leaves on them.
so while we slept last night
{or were up with all three kids on separate occasions},
everything was covered in a blanket of white,
with bursts of yellow, red, and green on the tree tops.
breathtakingly beautiful.
............
while chase took his morning nap,
the big gib's and i put on our boots, coats, gloves, and hats to go outside into the fresh snow.
the cold air on my sleepy face after a fresh snow is heaven.
my favorite way to wake up:)
so we wrestled on everyone's gear,
and i told them i was only putting on gloves once,
which of course i gave in and did more than i can count.
brennan has been wanting to build a snowman since OH....JULY.
so we they began.
the snow was heavy and sticky.
perfect for snowman making.
we got him all put together,
carrot nose, stick arms, rock eyes and all,
and called it complete.
i pulled them around "snowie" on the sled until all of the snow was slushed out into the grass.
then brennan needed to pee,
so we went inside.
where he took off all of his clothes,
so max had to too.
then we had to put it all back on again,
and came out to find that "snowie" had melted off his top two levels.
at which point "snowie" became "snow doggy."
he needed ears, eyes, and a nose.
brennan said he was hungry for leaves and thirsty for snow,
so the two of them fed and watered
"snow doggy."
i was in love with all of it.
and so were they.
happy happy first snowy day:)
check out how my camera actually caught the snowflake falling onto brennan's tongue.
AMAZING.
{i love my neighbor's bright yellow tree leaves.}
snow doggie.
so charming:)
SO PROUD!!!
........................................
p.s.
chase spent the better part of his day watching the snow fall
through our back windows in his exersaucer.
he was memorized.
