counting sheep

we finally moved him out of his toddler bed.
{yes, he's 4. we're slow like that.}
he was so excited the first night that he laid awake until 10:30pm,
just laying there smiling:)
until he decided that he was a little nervous about it too.
i laid with him and sung to him until his eyes started rolling back.
and then turned on his little night light and left the door open.
the next day he told me that spiderman had a bed just like him,
and that he was going to sit on his bed and read books for awhile
b/c that's what big kids and spiderman do in their beds.
so proud.

now to teach him how to make it on his own...

Yay! Big boy beds are such a momentous thing. How sweet that he wants to stay in bed and read?! The bed making bit is always fun to teach. Their standards and mine are miles apart on what makes a bed made.
