"i think it's cold." -soph

the arizona cousins are here for grandpa casper's funeral.
he passed away last sunday morning.
we miss him, but know his spirit lives again without the pains of his mortal body.
the Arizonians are mesmerized by the snow.
they wanted to sit in it,
dig it,
walk in it,
and taste it.
but mostly just walk in it.
when i asked sophia what she thought of the snow she said,
"i think it's cold."
also, we found more lost things under all of the snow melt.
smokey the dragon, babar the mammoth, "brennan's "bear coat skin" sweatshirt {the kind that "bear hunters get from black bears and make coats out of"}, and another set of flip flops.
i wonder what we'll find next spring.
funeral tomorrow.
happy and sad.
all at the same time.

Yep, that describes a funeral well, at least, when the death is not an untimely one...happy and sad, all at the same time.

Snow is fascinating to those who don't have it. My mom once lost her car keys in the snow, but didn't know it until the spring. it was really funny. Best hidders ever, those little snowflakes.
