Vacations never keep me up on current events. Is the swine flu pandemic still scaring everyone to pieces?Obama's 100 days?Global warm? What's the word goddesses?
Actually I just read a very interesting article that shows pretty conclusively that there was a normal global warming trend, but that it ended in 1999,and now we are in a cooling trend. In Illinois where my mom lives there was an entire school district closed from all activities, including prom, due to a possible case of swine flu.
You might enjoy this...Thursday I went to Philly on a field trip with my 5th grader. I am just getting over bronchitis. As my bag is being searched upon entering Independence Hall, I break out in a fit of coughing. I wish you could've seen the people scatter. Everyone dispersed as though I was radioactive. I tried explaining it's bronchitis, NOT swine flu. Then I started pondering ways to use the cough to my advantage. I think it just might work! :)
