i spent three days packing to leave for our extended trip to california. the scout master had already departed for maple-something with his scouts in tow. i made lists. every time i thought of an item i would need i ran to the list. good thing too b/c the peed on incident was very distracting to my order of packing. the morning of our trip i crossed off every last item i had meticulously planned to bring. with 10 min. to spare i made the pork loin and i a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for the plane. it's our plane snack. no pb&j, no plane. i won't travel without one anymore. when i told the TSA agent i had peanut butter and jelly for the baby she told me i wasn't aloud to take peanut butter on the plane. i was confused. then i realized she thought i was taking an entire container. so my sandwich was packed, all of my liquids were in a quart sized bag, and brennan's monkey safely stowed in my backpack. yet i still couldn't shake the feeling that i was forgetting something....
turns out it was the cord to upload my pictures.
so sad.
this is when you stop reading my blog for a week.
see you soon.

There is always something that gets forgotten.
noooooooooooooo.....i guess we will just have to live in suspense! have a wonderful time and take a pic of your cute belly (if you have one yet...which you are probably so skinny, you wont show for a while...brat!) :) have fun!
We will just look forward to the big reveal!
=)
I unintentionally tried to smuggle an entire bottle of Pete Pan PB past the TSA agent, only to have the offending snack yanked from my diaper bag by a pair of latex-gloved TSA hands. Then she scowled at me. "No peanut butter!" Say what? I didn't even know it was in my diaper bag. Yikes. I think the TSA agents in SLC are the meanest of any I've encountered at any airport.
