ma' toes

the only thing i'm really concerned about
taking care of before little miss max arrives is ma' toes.
there's nothing that says "let's push a baby out" like freshly manicured toes.
or i guess it's pedicured toes.
whichever.
dr. N. reports that i am 50% effaced and 1 1/2 cm dilated.
at 41 weeks with brennan i was finally 1 1/2 cm dilated, so i am feeling quite happy with my early progress at 36, almost 37 weeks.
bree guarantees that this means i will be pregnant for at least 3 weeks or more.
figures.
dr. N. has offered to induce me at 39 weeks.
i don't think i have the strength to turn him down;-)
that means we have 2 weeks from sunday.
ma' toes are scheduled for next saturday.
i'm thinking pink.
with flowers.
"are you ready?"
that's the question i keep getting.
and
"how are you feeling?"
answers:
i'm ready and i'm not ready.
i'm ready to not have a baby in my stomach any more.
i'm not ready for the sleep deprivation.
i'm enjoying my sleep.
something i thought was not possible during pregnancy.
especially at the end.
i'm enjoying brennan.
so i'm feeling great!
sleep makes me feel great.
so do people caring how i feel.
nice to be cared about:-)
it's all very medicinal.
like freshly pedicured toes.
...
in other news...
the pork loin has not eaten a speck of dinner for 3 nights in a row.
he is still alive.
and fully pork loined out.
so i've stopped worrying about him starving.
and i'm appreciating more food for me, HA!

Yep, he's at the age now where he's going to thin out...You may even have to come up with a new nickname for him!

=)

PS. And you are right not to worry. Babies and toddlers don't let themselves starve. Only teenagers and adults do. (Sad to say.)

Yes the end you are so ready for them to come.. yet you know how much work and sleep deprivation it will be...

But little girls are just wonderful.

I have to give you some hope. My little Faye had her first two weeks of waking up twice in the night, but that was all. Now she sleeps all night every night. I hope you are lucky and get a sleeping baby.
I agree about the pedicured toes though. It is like good luck for child birth.

Yay for not being pregnant soon!

Pretty toes to focus on while you assume the position- that's a good idea.

Oh the little loin, it's a good thing that kids listen to their bodies better than we do, you'd think we would take a cue from them right?

I love reading your posts about pregnancy because you always say exactly how I am feeling. My pedi is scheduled for Fri at 36 1/2 weeks!! Jelous that your dialated and efaced!! But, my little man is breeched so I guess I want him to turn around before anything happens. Hope little Max comes early for you (after the pedicure though)
