it's a pity i'd already showered.

at 12:15pm today,
bieber fever and i stood in front of the onion and napkin dispensers at costco.
where he puked 3 times down the front of me.
after he had drank half of his berry smoothie.
and taken 4 bites of pizza.
it was not awesome.
imagine niagra falls,
but purple.
i held my head away from the target, eyes closed, holding my breath, still holding him.
hoping that my already zipped up coat would keep the puke from going down my shirt.
and make less of a scene.
it was in vain.
oh please, just say my hair was saved.
this is what i was thinking.
nope.
it was not so.
good thing we'd just bought motrin.
b/c between crying and breathing, he said he needed some.
we drove home drenched and stenched.
it was gross.
i stripped us both down naked in the laundry room when we walked in the door.
threw everything we had on in the wash.
grabbed a coat so my neighbors couldn't see me walking upstairs naked.
locked the baby in our bathroom with me.
and took another shower.
hair and all.
there was no salvaging.
gave bieber his medicine.
nursed max.
fed max.
put a movie on for brennan.
who still has no pants on.
i feel better now:)
it's just a pity i had already showered this morning.

Yucky, poor Brennan! Is he sick or was the smoothie too much for his tummy? Hope all the purple comes out!

Oh no!! It's one thing to have your child throw up on you at home, but inside a store?! Plus you had your baby with you too! Bless you!

You just won the amazing mother award! Wow. Not fun. I hope he feels better soon, and I hope people were extra nice to you and helped you and the kids into the car!

Oh my goodness. I would have been in tears before I made it to my car. Hope you're all feeling better and that the Mr. brings you a well earned treat.

:(. So so sorry. Kids puking is bad enough but in public :(

We went to costco today and I almost called you but it was late and probably nap time. But looks like it wouldn't have worked out anyway. Poor guy! Poor you! Blake had purple ice cream too today and then I felt like a bad mom because he was shivering so badly on the walk to the car. Smoothie plus twenty degree weather. Smart! Hope he feels better soon!

That's terrible! I'm sorry you had to go through that. Especially in public. I have not had that privilege yet, but I'm sure my turn will come.
It feels like forever since I've talked to you. Hope your all doing well. :)

Yep. I've had my kids throw up on me a few times. Along with a strange lady coming out of the bathroom in an airplane.

Not fun. Especially the strange lady.

OHHHH Emily!! What a crappy day! I'm cringing for you! Thanks for your comment. It's good to know that you know how I feel! I told Jeremy yesterday that I feel like we are inflicting pain on ourselves by being here! Oh and I totally know how you feel about the calling thing. I went from being a young women advisor to teaching sunbeams...13 sunbeams...you get the picture. :) Love ya.

Oh my gosh! This post made me want to vomit.
No offense.
Just the thought of it all, gross.
I am glad you all made it home ok.
Hopefully Brennan feels better soon!

OH my goodness...that sounds miserable. The flu is the worst!! I can handle just about anything, but the vomiting in public is where I draw the line ;)
Good job, mama!

You did great! I don't know what I would have done with purple niagra falls-like puke ;)
