boo {as in scary, not sad}

brennan's favorite new hobby.
last night i jumped 3 feet and lost my breath when i came around the corner at 1am and found brennan quietly sitting on his knees in the upstairs hall.
staring at me.
he must have been watching me clean up the kitchen.
i scare easily.
this is a known fact in my family.
which sean uses to his advantage frequently.
i mean really,
all you have to do is walk up to me and say, "boo."
no added effort necessary.
i can even know you're coming.
so after i jumped and gasped for air, heart racing, body like jello {i know, i'm a wuss},
i got to carry him downstairs for a drink of milk.
and then came the cherry on top.
rocking him.
AND singing to him.
his request.
it's a good thing i was already awake.
b/c if i had been asleep i would have been really grumpy about it.
whined about how he should just get back in bed.
and NOW.
i was not grumpy last night.
i was blissfully enjoying my little baby.
big boy.
{i'll love you forever, i'll like for always, as long as i'm living, my baby you'll be.}
and what did he want me to sing?
baby beluga.
i died and went to heaven:)
brennan,
you had me at "boo."
or beluga.
whichever.

:) That's all I can say to this post :)

Oh, that and I also scare extremely easily. One time I screamed 3 different levels just because I didn't know my sister was coming around the corner from the hallway.

Maddie loves the "I love you forever" book. I hate it. And only because I can't read the dang thing without bawling my eyes out every time. I probably wouldn't care except that Jeff always makes fun of me for it. ;) I love when our big kids resort back to our babies for just a moment. Makes my heart happy. :)

I scare easily as well. Wait till Brennan is as big as Sean. My boys LOVE to startle me. They're mean that way.

I didn't used to startle easily, but I do now. I think it's the lack of estrogen to cushion the shock.

I scare easily as well. My brother had a blast with that. My husband hasn't quite learned that about me yet. I am so happy.

Moments like those are too precious to pass up. I am glad you got to experience that. I always sing the "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, forever and ever my baby you'll be" to my kids. Every night before they go to bed. It makes me happy that they like me to sing to them.
