boo to the flu, grape juice please

i'm sitting here sick with the flu.
brennan had it all last week, and now it's my turn.
i went to bed at 7pm tonight, hoping i would wake at 7am tomorrow morning.
it's now 11pm and i'm wide-eyed and bushy tailed with a
yucky throat feeling
(do you know the one?)
and
an upset stomach.
i'm hoping that my large glass of grape juice will kick this bug right outta my house.
i'm hoping it will cure me faster.
okay, okay, i know it sounds like THE old wife's tale of old wife's tales
(is that how you spell it?),
but who doesn't like grape juice?
it's always been one of my favorites,
so i figure,
why not give it a try?
any other suggestions anyone would like to offer?
i vow to get the flu shot next year.

So sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well! If you haven't thrown up yet, Emily, there is still hope, but if you are "past the point of no return," so to speak, the grape juice will be too late to do the trick.

However, this would be the time to get your hubby and baby drinking grape juice. It's a preventative thing, not a curative one.

On a side note, the flu shots don't do anything to prevent stomach flu, unfortunately. Flu shots are for influenza, that sore throat, bad cough, high fever, very achy all over to the point where you can't even function kind of flu.

It's a good idea to get a flu shot though, especially when you have a baby!

Get well soon. Let's hope you've caught it in time!

awww hope you feel better. and on the teething subject, baby orijel works pretty good. when you rub it into their gums, they like the sensation of your finger. feel better!
