PHO and TEA.

i woke up this morning, still arguing with my throat about the condition it has allowed itself to be in for over a week now.
sore.
hurt.
i don't want anything rough going down these tubes.
i do, but my throat doesn't.
it wants tea.
so i'm drinking tea.
mint green tea, with honey to be exact.
how much tea is too much tea?
i may find out today.
BE GONE SORE THROAT!!!
be gone.
Vietnamese "pho" is on the menu for tonight (pronounced "fuh").
it cures all of life's woes.
and no, i'm not making it.
i'm buying it.
cooking is not fun with a sore throat either.
see what i mean?
it's almost oct 1st and my pumpkin puree sits lonely and in cellophane.
this must change.
tea.
i'll just drink tea.

My grandma used to make us drink this weird-gross concoction to help when we had a sore throat, it had honey and cayenne pepper and maple syrup, it was really disgusting choking that down, and I don't ever remember it helping that much either. Good luck getting better.

Homemade mint tea. It works every time. Get some mint leaves (dried or fresh, depending on what you have) and boil it in some water with half a squeezed lemon. Add some honey to your cup as you drink it. The mint and lemon are very good at helping your throat get better, and the honey coats your throat which makes it feel better.

So sorry you are feeling down. My throat has been threatening to be sore for a while. I think I need to take some of my own medicine (lemon mint tea). I hope you feel better by Oct 1 so you can celebrate with all sorts of pumpkiny goodness.
