the boost

we let brennan eat in his booster seat at the counter with us tonight for dinner.
oh so generous we were feeling.
how did it go?
he whined the entire time.
drank juice and milk.
threw his fork.
never ate a bite.
i'd say it went awesome.
actually, now that i think about it, it was awesome.
all of the food stayed on his plate!
now that's an accomplishment.

Ah, the next step. I so look forward to the stage where I don't have to cut up my kids food/prompt them to eat/ play games so they will eat... someday... someday far far away.

Don't you love those meal times where the entire "conversation" is had over the whine coming from the smallest, yet loudest family member. Those are occasions to remember, and then be so thankful for when that stage is outgrown :)

I let Maddie eat breakfast at the table today on her booster. She grinned the whole time and ate her WHOLE breakfast! Do you know how long it's been since I've been able to even get her to eat half her breakfast?!!! I'm hoping it takes a while for the novelty to wear off :)
