this morning {SUN!}

this morning the sun came out.
for the first time in a long time.
more than 22 days.
and it was warm.
40* warm.
the blue skies were beautiful.
and i couldn't contain myself.
i opened all of the windows and door in my house.
and with the furnace blazing to keep up,
the fresh air came in and blew through our home.
it was the most refreshing thing i've felt in weeks.
the snow looked slick
{probably b/c there was a sheet of ice across the top of it from the freezing rain last thursday}.
i kept singing
"the sun'll come out TOMORROW!
TOMORROW!
bet your bottom dollar that TOMORROW!!! they'll be SUN!"
{except it won't b/c i think it's supposed to snow}
{and i probably had the words wrong--i always do}
i stuck my head out the back porch door,
and took big, deep breaths of air.
my kids looked at me weird.
and then max ran out and stuck her toes in the snow.
and then the clouds came back in {no smog, GLORY BE!!!}
and it started to pour down rain.
40 degrees and rain.
not freezing rain,
just regular rain.
so i closed all of my doors and windows,
and felt like a new woman.
ALIVE!
breathing fresh air.
and my body felt like it had electricity flowing through it.
my head felt more clear,
the light at the end of the tunnel of my 3 week cold was gleaming,
and it was like i had had dessert for breakfast,
with that sun and air coming in through my windows and doors.
this morning:)

I love airing out my house after having it closed up for several days. Nothing better!

And yes, it really does make you feel more clear-headed, right?

=)

Opening windows is always the best thing every time. Can't wait for Spring!
