Oh my gosh, I am so sorry about the snooty mother. I just don't understand people sometimes. If a seat was there, completely empty, she would've rather you wrestle a 13 month old than use the empty seat..ohhh, because that would have been "fair". Idiot. (Sorry, I've just been pushed beyond my snooty, rude tolerance level...I know, I'm the one who commented a few posts ago about everyone being more tolerant. Too bad, snooty & rude are things I will never tolerate!)

Ok, on to bigger and better things...you are home safe and sound with the loves of your life. That's good stuff!! (So is whiskey,I mean that's what I've heard anyway, but glad to know yours was water!) :)

Glad you survived the trip home! If mothers don't deserve a medal for everything else, they DO deserve one for flying with kids! I always think that I meet the NICEST and the MEANEST people when I am flying. Some people bend over backwards to help and others are just so so snooty.

That sounds like one tough flight. I wish people would be more kind to mothers in these situations. When Karin was a newish baby, I took her to Canada and was on a ferry with her. She had a total meltdown, and I was doing the best I could to comfort her. Some of the looks I got would have killed a lesser woman! Seriously, though. She was like two months old. What did they expect me to do...throw her overboard?

Sheesh.

Anyway, I feel your pain and am glad you're home.

The last thing I knew, the airlines didn't require you to pay until the child is two. I've flown with all of my kids a few times and have never been treated badly by fellow passengers. I'm sorry this happened to you. Snooty Lady ... sheesh.
